Jardins du Trocadéro – Paris

Right after our visit at Shangri-La Hotel, we went to Jardins du Trocadéro that is only few minutes of walk away from the hotel. Jardins du Trocadéro is an open space located at the 16th arrondissement in Paris, and has the Palais de Chaillot behind, and the river Seine, and the Eiffel Tower on the opposite site.

The main feature of the garden is the fountain in the middle. The garden was originally the garden of the Palais du Trocadéro, that is now replaced by the Palais de Chaillot. The garden was created for the Exposition Internationale in 1937. The buildings houses some museums today.

The garden is a lovely place to sit and take some rest, and enjoy the atmosphere. But it is a bit crowded too and pretty much characterized by tourism.

There is this small park area located at Avenue des Nations Unies and Avenue Albert-de-Mun, with this beautiful statue (name unknown) and with view of the Eiffel Tower 😉

Also Jardins du Trocadéro is popular for these locks 😛

If you study the history, it seems like Adolf Hitler was the trendsetter of photoshooting at the Palais de Chaillot with the Eiffel Tower in the background – haha. The image from 1940 with Hitler standing at Palais de Chaillot actually became the image of WW2.
