For our 3rd day in Paris, my bestie had booked a guided tour to some attractions and experiences in Paris. We found the offer through getyourguide.com, where we could go visit the Eiffel Tower (with access to either 2 floor or 2nd and 3rd floor), a cruise on the River Seine, visit Louvre Museum and last go to Notre Dame (if we wanted, as there is free entrance to Notre Dame church), with a guide.
We had to meet the guide and the rest of the group at a souvenir shop near Paris, and from here, we went to the Eiffel Tower by walking. I must say this kind of offers are cheap and there’s enough time for everything. The only thing is that our guide was not easy to understand and she was a bit confusing, but that’s all about it. She is very kind though 😉
This post is only about our visit to Eiffel Tower. We had tickets to access the 1st floor, and this was very beautiful 🙂 Another good thing about this is that we didn’t have to wait in a long queue and could enter the tower on exact opening time, so I’d highly recommend you to buy this kind of experience, if you are planning to visit several places and save time and money.
You may know aout the Eiffel Tower – an iron lattice tower in Champ de Mars in Paris, built in 1887-1889 and it is named after the engineer of the project, Gustave Eiffel.
Here is a small video from our visit 😉
I am not going to share each picture, but here are some 😉
From 2nd floor..
From 3rd floor – the top..
Arc de Triomphe d’Étoile in the background..
The Champ de Mars park and the Bassins du Champ de Mars
Here it’s Jardins du Trocadéro
Again, Arc de Triomphe to be find here 😉
Some buildings near the Tower..
Did you know that Gustave Eiffel built a small apartment at the top of the tower? He lived here with his daughter, and today you can see Gustave’s office that has been restored to the original condition. There are wax models of the scene where Eiffel and his daughter are welcoming none other than Thomas Edison – he visited Gustave Eiffel on the 10th of September 1889. You also find the gramophone which Edison gifted Eiffel during his visit. Interesting, no? 😉
Some views of the Tower from the ground level
I really loved the view of Paris from the Eiffel Tower, but I still find the experience from Burj Khalifa more interesting. Hehe 😉
