After enjoying some time and a long walk in Jardin des Tuileries we went to Carrousel du Louvre, which is an underground shopping mall. It is located in the underground between Musée du Louvre and Place du Carrousel, hence the name Carrousel du Louvre. The mall covers 10.200 m2, and was opened in 1993. Carrousel du Louvre is one of the entrances to Musée du Louvre.
Carrousel du Louvre contains the famous La Pyramide Inversée 😉
It is a beautiful shopping mall, by the way.
Note: Carrousel du Louvre has a big food court named Restaurant du Monde, that consists of several restaurant. But it is definitely not easy to find a place to sit and enjoy the food. We therefore decided not to eat there, and went outside Louvre to get some food. I highly recommend you to do the same, as the food court is very crowded.
I didn’t buy anything special than yummy macarons in Maison du Chocolat. I have tried several macarons in Paris, and except the ones we got at the Sofitel Hotel, the macarons du ganache from Maison du Chocolat are the yummiest macarons! I also bought some chocolate from the shop.
