Accommodation in Paris: Sofitel La Défense

During our trip in Paris, we decided to stay at a 5-star hotel, as I found out through several researches that even 4-star hotels in Paris are mostly not that good and clean. We want cleanliness, and that’s very important to us! As we’ve stayed at some Novotel hotels on other trips (to other places) we therefore went for a 5 star hotel in the Accor branch – Sofitel, of course.

There are several Sofitel Hotels to be find in Paris, and most of them are fully booked most of the time. We booked a room at Sofitel La Défense, mainly because it is not a place with heavy traffic. We actually booked a Superior room, but as we arrived, the hotel manager offered us a Luxury Room- free of charge. I think that was a very kind gesture, and excellent service. Kudos! 😉

The Luxury Room is a 28 m2 room, and we got one with a large double bed. The bathroom both has a bath tube and a nice shower. Sofitel offers exclusive Hermès products, by the way. The room is very comfortable with much space. And of course, it is always clean and neat. You can always ask for extra supplies, just like in the Novotels.

As we entered our room, there were the yummiest macarons (I just ordered some as a small surprise for my bestie) and the room was decorated with rose petals. Pleasant ❤

We went for the breakfast at the hotel every day. It is a simple buffet, and there’s not a “wide” range of food here, but somehow good enough. I was a bit surprised, as I thought a 5-star hotel much offer more options for their guests.

We’ve also eaten at the restaurant in the hotel – Le Lounge. There are some vegtarians options too.

Just a click from our floor..

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommendable, if you value cleanliness, service and orderliness very much.
