Eiffel Tower – Paris

For our 3rd day in Paris, my bestie had booked a guided tour to some attractions and experiences in Paris. We found the offer through getyourguide.com, where we could go visit the Eiffel Tower (with access to either 2 floor or 2nd and 3rd floor), a cruise on the River Seine, visit Louvre Museum and last go to Notre Dame (if we wanted, as there is free entrance to Notre Dame church), with a guide. Vegan in Paris – Shangri-La Hotel

Friday the 15th of June 2018, literally the second day in Paris was mostly spent with relaxation and walking around in La Défense. I also booked a table for afternoon tea at Shangri-La Hotel in Paris. Shangri-La is today a 5 star hotel and has a lounge and bar, Le Bar Botaniste that serves you finger food, quality Dilmah Ceylon Tea, juices, drinks and much more. While researching on vegetarian options in Paris, I found out that Le Bar Botaniste offers 100% vegan afternoon tea, which I really had to try. So we went for some afternoon tea at Shangri-La to enjoy a beautiful evening. Shangri-La Hotel is located at Avenue d’Iéna, close to Jardins du Trocadéro and only 20 min walk from Place de Charles de Gaulle and Arc de Triomphe d’Étoile. La Défense – Paris

Last week, I went to Paris for 5 days to get a break from my everyday life. I have not been to Paris before, and have heard almost all of my friends, who have been there, telling that it’s a very beautiful and a romantic place – except one, who said it’s only a must visit to see some of the popular places, but that the city itself isn’t worth all the hype. I must admit, that I share the same opinion after experiencing the atmosphere of Paris – Paris is crowded, busy, and definitely not clean at all, and I don’t feel it’s as romantic as people tell you – but it depends on taste for sure. Compared to Rome, Paris isn’t my cup of tea, and I love Rome more. Though I’m going to give you guys a small guide and share my experiences with Paris and the places I went to. Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai

When I was younger, I went to extra classes in my spare time to study Tamil language. Both my parents teached me to read and write Tamil, and later I began to the classes to get more knowleadge about the Tamil history and litterature. During these classes I came across a chapter about the Meenakshi Amman temple in Madurai and its great architecture, which was so interesting to me, that I was very eager to visit the temple, when we went to India in 2010. The temple is actually much bigger than I expected, and I loved being around the space. What a beautiful temple it is! 😉 Continue reading “Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai”
