Arc de Triomphe d’Étoile – Paris

After enjoying some time in Jardins du Trocadéro, we went for a walk down the streets to Arc de Triopmhe d’Étoile.

Arc de Triomphe d’Étoile is one of the most famous monuments of Paris, standing with its 50 m height in the middle of Place Charles de Gaulle, which was formerly named as Place d’Étoile (étoile – star), as it is a juncture formed of the 12 radiating avenues. Arc de Triomphe is the central element of the Historical Axis of Paris, and honours those who fought and died for France during the Napoleonic Wars, and it has the names of all the French victories and generals inscripted on both its inner and outer surfaces. Vegan in Paris – Shangri-La Hotel

Friday the 15th of June 2018, literally the second day in Paris was mostly spent with relaxation and walking around in La Défense. I also booked a table for afternoon tea at Shangri-La Hotel in Paris. Shangri-La is today a 5 star hotel and has a lounge and bar, Le Bar Botaniste that serves you finger food, quality Dilmah Ceylon Tea, juices, drinks and much more. While researching on vegetarian options in Paris, I found out that Le Bar Botaniste offers 100% vegan afternoon tea, which I really had to try. So we went for some afternoon tea at Shangri-La to enjoy a beautiful evening. Shangri-La Hotel is located at Avenue d’Iéna, close to Jardins du Trocadéro and only 20 min walk from Place de Charles de Gaulle and Arc de Triomphe d’Étoile. La Défense – Paris

Last week, I went to Paris for 5 days to get a break from my everyday life. I have not been to Paris before, and have heard almost all of my friends, who have been there, telling that it’s a very beautiful and a romantic place – except one, who said it’s only a must visit to see some of the popular places, but that the city itself isn’t worth all the hype. I must admit, that I share the same opinion after experiencing the atmosphere of Paris – Paris is crowded, busy, and definitely not clean at all, and I don’t feel it’s as romantic as people tell you – but it depends on taste for sure. Compared to Rome, Paris isn’t my cup of tea, and I love Rome more. Though I’m going to give you guys a small guide and share my experiences with Paris and the places I went to. McArthur Glenn Designer Outlet – Neumünster

McArthur Glenn has several Designer Outlets around in Europe, 2 of them in Germany – one in Neumünster and another one in Berlin. I have once been to the Neumünster Designer Outlet in 2016, and went to the one in Berlin in 2017. Few weeks back I went to Neumünster again to shop. In the McArthur Glenn Designer Outlets you find brands like Adidas, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Golfino and home brands like Le Creuset and Zwilling and much more, and can save up to 70% – so it’s definitely worth a visit. Novotel, Al Barsha – Dubai

I’m very happy with the Accor Hotels, and if you have read my earlier posts, you can see that I stayed at Novotel during my visit to Berlin. Also in Dubai we went for the same, and booked a room for 2 at Novotel Al Barsha. There are both the Novotel Suits and the Novotel Hotel in Al Barsha, and we stayed at the hotel. The residents in Dubai also know the hotel Novotel in Al Barsha as the Novotel Tower – fyi.
